Product Description
The ACM 13.56MHz RFID NFC Key Fob Access Control Key Tag (SKU ACM-KEYFOB-13.56MHZ) is a keychain-sized tag that identifies a user to a door reader. Hold it to a compatible reader and the tag sends its ID to the access controller, which grants or denies entry.
What the specs mean for you
- 13.56 MHz: the radio frequency the tag works at. Your RFID (radio-frequency identification) or NFC (near-field communication) reader must support this frequency.
- ISO14443A: the contactless standard the tag is designed for. Check that your reader lists ISO14443A support.
- Programmable: memory depends on the chip type used. The fob can be registered in access control software or on a door controller.
- ABS plastic, water-resistant housing: built to cope with daily wear on a key ring, indoors or outdoors.
- Compact keychain design: clips onto keys, lanyards or ID holders.
What else you need
The fob does nothing on its own. You need a compatible 13.56 MHz NFC or RFID reader wired to an access controller. Each fob then has to be registered in the controller or its software.
Suited to door access, attendance, parking access, employee identification and wider security systems.
