Product Description
The Ajax Oyster 46020.144.DY Wireless Wall Switch Double Button Light Control puts a manual control point on the wall of an Ajax system. Two buttons, two separate commands, no cable to run.
What the specs mean in practice
- Double button: each button is assigned its own command in the Ajax app. One could switch lighting, the other an automation relay or a connected device.
- Ajax Jeweller wireless protocol: the switch talks to the Ajax hub by radio, so there is no signal wiring between the two.
- Battery powered: nothing to connect at the wall position. It works as a wireless alternative to a traditional wired wall switch.
- Touch-sensitive buttons: a clean, minimal surface in a slim square housing.
- Indoor wall mounting: for interior walls only.
What else the system needs
The switch sends the command. Something has to act on it. You need a supported Ajax hub, plus the Ajax automation devices or modules that switch the lighting or other load. Check that your hub and modules support this switch before you plan the layout.
Where it fits
Ajax lists it for residential, office and commercial smart automation setups. It suits places where someone wants a manual trigger for lighting or an automation routine without chasing walls for new switch cable.
This product is also listed under the reference Ajax-46020.144.OY.
