What the specs mean in use
Retractive means the button returns to its resting position by itself once released. Contact is made only while you hold it down. That suits a doorbell, bell activation, door entry signalling or a control relay, where a brief closure is needed and a switch that stays on is not.
The ivory plastic faceplate gives a neutral look for homes and light commercial spaces such as entrances and reception desks.
What else you need
This unit is the push button only. For it to do anything, the circuit behind it needs a bell, relay or door entry device running on low-voltage signalling. You also need a standard UK back box in the wall to mount it in.
