Glue Tertell 809 adhesive

Glue Tertell 809 adhesive (SKU GLUE-TERTELL-809) is a two-part AB repair adhesive from Tertell. "Two-part" means the product comes as two separate components, usually labelled A and B. Neither does the job alone. You mix them just before use.

What it does

It bonds and fills damaged areas in metal components. In practice, that covers joining two metal parts and building up a chipped, cracked or worn spot on one part.

It is aimed at general workshop maintenance and repair tasks, so think of it as a bench-side fix for metal items rather than a specialist process.

Using it properly

1. Prepare the surfaces first. The adhesive is meant to go onto properly prepared surfaces.
2. Mix the two components as described in the instructions supplied with the product.
3. Apply the mixed adhesive to the repair area.
4. Leave it to cure fully before the repaired item goes back into use.

The last step matters most. A repair that looks set is not necessarily fully cured, so keep the item out of service until the cure is complete.
