The Edatec Raspberry Pi 5 Aluminum Passive Cooling Open CNC Case (SKU PAASSIVE-COLLING-OPEN-CNC-CASE) is a finned aluminium heatsink case for the Raspberry Pi 5. It has no fan, so it adds no fan noise.
What each spec means for you
- CNC-machined aluminium. CNC stands for computer numerical control, a precision cutting method. The body is cut to line up with the Pi 5 board layout and its mounting points.
- Direct thermal contact. The aluminium touches the processor and other key heat-producing parts. The large finned surface then releases that heat into the air.
