Edatec Raspberry Pi 5 Black CNC Aluminum Passive Cooling Heatsink Case

This is a CNC-machined aluminium case for the Raspberry Pi 5, built for fanless operation.

How the cooling works

There is no fan. The solid aluminium body doubles as the heatsink — heat from the processor and board components conducts into the case surface and fins, so the case itself does the cooling work. That means no moving parts and silent running, which matters if the unit sits inside a cabinet, kiosk or NVR (network video recorder) housing next to other equipment.

Fit and access

The enclosure is cut specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5 layout. Port cut-outs give access to dual micro HDMI, USB and Ethernet without needing to open the case. GPIO (general-purpose input/output) access is also provided.

Build

The case is solid CNC-machined aluminium with a black anodized finish, intended for embedded and industrial installations rather than desktop use. Aluminium construction gives it more rigidity than a plastic shell, and the anodised coating protects the metal surface.

Where it fits in a build

For anyone running a Pi 5 as a compute node in a CCTV or automation setup, this case handles thermal management passively — useful where fan noise or long-term fan reliability is a concern. It does not include a fan, so cooling performance depends on ambient airflow around the enclosure.
