SPL-3-6 Grey Lever Wire Connector 3 In 6 Out Splicing Terminal

The SPL-3-6 is a lever wire connector for splitting one power feed into several: 3 input terminals, 6 output terminals, so one incoming pair of conductors (or set) can feed up to six outgoing wires from a single splice point.

How it works

Each terminal has a coloured lever. Lift it, insert the stripped conductor, press the lever down — the wire is held without a screwdriver or crimp tool. This makes it quick to add or move a connection later, since the same lever can be released and re-used rather than cut and replaced.

Wire types and build

It accepts solid, stranded and flexible conductors. The housing is a flame-retardant insulating plastic around metal internal contacts, which is what carries the electrical connection between the input and output terminals.

Where it's used

On a CCTV or alarm installation this style of connector is typically reached for at a junction box or behind a light fitting, where one supply cable needs to be split to feed several downstream devices — for example distributing power to multiple points on a lighting circuit or control panel wiring run, rather than for camera signal cabling itself.
