The Rsrteng IPC-5100C Plus 5.4" CCTV Camera Tester IP TVI CVI AHD CVBS (SKU CCTV-Tester-IPC-5100-Plus, also listed as CCTV-Tester-IPC-5200-Plus and ZQ1101YG) is a handheld tester for checking a camera before it goes on the wall, or finding out why one has stopped working.
What the specs mean in use
- 5.4-inch colour display: you see the live camera picture on the tester itself, so you can check framing and focus without a recorder or monitor nearby.
- IP, TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS support: one unit covers network cameras and analogue ones. TVI, CVI and AHD are the analogue high-definition formats. CVBS is standard composite analogue video, found on older coax systems.
- PoE output: PoE (Power over Ethernet) lets the tester power a compatible IP camera through the network cable. No switch or separate power supply is needed on the bench or up the ladder. Check the camera's power requirement against the tester's PoE output first.
- Cable tracer: helps identify and test network or CCTV cabling during installation and maintenance.
- HDMI and VGA output: connects the tester to an external monitor for a bigger view or a system check.
