Product Description
The Hikvision DS-K1T342MFWX-E1 Face Recognition Terminal WiFi Access Control is a door-side unit that checks identity by face, fingerprint, card or PIN. It also works as a time attendance terminal.
What the specs mean in practice
- 4.3-inch colour LCD touchscreen: a screen big enough for users to see feedback and for staff to enrol people.
- Face recognition range 0.3m to 1.5m: users are read at arm's length up to about a step and a half back. They don't need to touch anything.
- Recognition time under 0.2 seconds per user: the check is quick enough for a normal walk-up at the door.
- Built-in Mifare reader, 13.56 MHz: reads contactless cards, so cards can be used alongside or instead of faces.
- WiFi and Ethernet: connect by cable or wirelessly. TCP/IP (the standard network protocol) is used for remote management, configuration and event monitoring.
Capacity
The terminal stores up to 1,500 faces, 3,000 fingerprints and 3,000 cards. That suits small to medium sites such as offices, warehouses and commercial premises.
What else you need
The unit can connect to electric locks, exit buttons, door sensors and alarm inputs. You supply the lock and any other door hardware. To manage users centrally, you also need Hikvision access control software.
