CABLE ROD Standard (SKU CABLE-ROD-10M-5MM) is ten 1m rods that join into one 10m rod. It routes cable through walls, ceilings and conduit, and suits CCTV (closed-circuit television) and electrical work in homes and commercial buildings.
The specs, and what they mean on the job
- 10 x 1m rods: up to 10m of reach. Connect only as many sections as the run needs.
- 5mm diameter: a balance of rigidity and flexibility, so the rod suits most routine cable routing.
- High sheen fibreglass composite: a smooth surface that minimises snagging and splintering.
- Triple-bonded steel connectors: built for extreme torsion (twisting) and tensile (pulling) strength. They are slimline, which further reduces snagging.
- Cable hook, mini eye and ring: attachments for pulling cable through.
- Coiled steel flexi-lead, 190mm: a flexible end section to help the rod find its way round bends.
- 5mm adaptor: lets these rods be used with other brands.
What else you need
The set pushes and pulls. You supply the cable you are routing. If you already own rods from another brand, the 5mm adaptor is the part that links the two.
