The Netgenium AUG3201-IP Audio Gateway Analogue to IP Audio Interface (SKU Netgenium-AUG3201-IP) links analogue sound equipment to an IP network. It is an interface only. It is not a speaker or an amplifier.
What it does, in plain terms
- Analogue in, IP out: audio from a microphone, an NVR (network video recorder) or another analogue source becomes a digital stream on your IP LAN (local area network).
- IP in, analogue out: audio from IP applications, such as public address (PA), scheduled announcements or pre-recorded messages, can be sent to a traditional amplifier or 8 Ohm speakers.
- IP PoE speaker networks: streams can be sent to IP speakers powered over Ethernet (PoE), for announcements, alerts or monitoring across a building or facility.
- SIP integration: works with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) IP telephony systems for voice communication and audio broadcasting.
What else you will need
- An IP LAN that connects the gateway to the other audio devices.
- IP PoE speakers for the network side, or an amplifier or 8 Ohm speakers for the analogue side.
- A SIP telephony system, if you want telephone integration.
