Evolis Zenius Classic Single-Sided ID Card Printer

The Evolis Zenius Classic Single-Sided ID Card Printer (SKU EVOLIS-ZENIUS) is a desktop printer for making plastic ID cards in-house. It prints one side of the card only, in full colour or monochrome (single colour).

What the figures mean in practice

• Up to 150 colour cards per hour. That is roughly one card every 24 seconds, so a small batch of staff badges takes a few minutes.
• Up to approximately 5,000 cards per year. This is the intended workload, around 100 a week. It suits offices, schools, membership organisations and small businesses. It is not built for continuous high-volume issuing.
• CR80 PVC cards. CR80 is the standard bank-card size. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the plastic. Employee ID, visitor badges, membership cards and access cards commonly use this format.
• Compact desktop footprint. It sits on an office desk or reception counter.

Before you choose it

Single-sided means the reverse of each card is not printed. Pre-printed card stock or a blank back works well. If your design needs artwork on both faces, this is the wrong model.

You will also need a supply of CR80 PVC cards to print on.
