Product Description

The BNC Twist-On Male Connector for RG59 Coaxial CCTV Cable puts a BNC plug on the end of RG59 coax without a crimp tool or a soldering iron. You screw it onto the cable by hand. BNC stands for Bayonet Neill-Concelman, the quarter-turn connector used on CCTV cameras and recorders.

What it means on site

  • Twist-on termination: no crimping, no soldering. Handy for a quick repair or a short custom lead.
  • RG59 coaxial cable: this is the cable type the connector is made for.
  • Metal construction: built for mechanical strength and long-term use.
  • Male BNC plug: it mates with BNC-compatible cameras, DVRs (digital video recorders) and monitors.

Systems it suits

It works with analogue CCTV and with HD-over-coax formats: HD-TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface), AHD (Analogue High Definition) and CVI (Composite Video Interface). It keeps consistent electrical contact between the cable and the equipment, which helps preserve the video signal.

What else you need

  • RG59 coaxial cable to terminate.
  • A camera, recorder or monitor with a BNC socket.
  • One connector per cable end, so a lead with plugs at both ends needs two.

Use it for new CCTV installations, fixing a damaged cable end, or building cables to length.
