Product Description
The 18 Channel CCTV Power Supply Box 12V DC 30A Distribution Unit (SKU PSU-BOX-12V-30A-18CH) powers a multi-camera system from one central point. It accepts 100–240V AC (alternating current) input and supplies regulated 12V DC (direct current) output. That suits analogue CCTV cameras, HD-TVI, AHD and CVI cameras, and other 12V security devices.
What the specs mean in practice
- 30A total output. This is shared across all channels. Add up the current draw of every connected device and keep the total within 30A.
- 18 fused outputs. Each channel has its own PTC (positive temperature coefficient) fuse. A fault on one camera run is isolated, so it should not take the other cameras down with it.
- LED indicator on every output. The LED (light-emitting diode) shows which channels are live, which helps during installation and fault-finding.
- Metal enclosure with a lockable cover. The lock restricts access to the wiring connections inside. The box is designed for wall mounting in control rooms, equipment cupboards or cabling cabinets.
One box replaces a row of individual power adapters and keeps the wiring in one place.
What else you need
You still need the cameras, a recorder, and a cable from each output to its camera. Check cable length and quality. Infrared (IR) LEDs draw more power at night, and a long or poor cable can drop the voltage. The usual result is flickering or a black picture after dark.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the 30A shared between the 18 channels?
The 30A is the total for the whole unit, not per channel. Add up the current draw of all connected cameras and keep it within 30A.
Which cameras can it power?
It supplies 12V DC, suitable for analogue CCTV, HD-TVI, AHD and CVI cameras and other 12V security devices.
Can the enclosure be locked?
Yes. The metal enclosure has a lockable cover that protects the wiring connections inside.
Why might cameras flicker at night on a shared supply?
IR LEDs draw more power at night, so a weak supply or a long, poor-quality cable can cause voltage drop. Check the supply rating and the cable length and quality.
