The 3M™ Headgear G500 is a versatile and comfortable solution for use as a standalone face protection system or for combined face and hearing protection.

3M™ Headgear G500 (SKU 3M-G500-HEADGEAR-COMBINATION) is a head-mounted carrier for face protection. You can use it on its own, or build it up into a combined face and hearing set.

What that means in use

• Stand-alone face protection: wear it as a face protection system without adding hearing protection.
• Face and hearing protection together: it is designed to combine with other 3M™ Safety Products, such as face shields, passive earmuffs, communication headsets and integrated eyewear.
• Impact protection from the front and side: the design covers impacts from two directions, not just head-on.
• Visibility and comfort: both were design priorities, so the headgear is intended for extended wear.

Planning your set-up

The headgear is one part of the system. The face shield, earmuffs or headset you add are separate 3M products, so decide which combination you need before ordering. A face-only set needs a compatible face shield. A face-and-hearing set also needs earmuffs or a communication headset.

Passive earmuffs reduce noise without electronics. Communication headsets are the option when the wearer also needs to hear or send communications.
