The Makita 18V LXT 115mm Angle Grinder (Body Only) – DGA452Z is a cordless grinder for the 18V LXT lithium-ion range. It takes any Makita LXT battery you already own.

What the numbers mean

• 115mm (4½") disc: the common compact size, so discs and wire brushes are easy to match.
• M14 spindle, 22.23 mm bore: standard fixings for 115mm accessories.
• Up to 10,000–11,000 rpm (revolutions per minute) no-load: the speed of the disc when it is not cutting.
• About 317 mm long, approx. 1.9–2.3 kg: small enough for work at arm's length or overhead.

Protection and controls

An electronic current limiter protects the motor from overload. Anti-restart stops the tool starting by itself when a battery is inserted. The slide switch has a lock-on for continuous running, and the soft-grip housing helps control.

Typical jobs

Metal cutting, weld grinding, surface preparation, and light fabrication or installation work. Tile or masonry cutting is possible with suitable discs.

What you need to add

This is a body-only unit. In the box: grinder, side handle, wheel guard, lock nut and wrench. No battery, charger or carry case is included, so you will need an 18V LXT battery and a compatible charger, plus the discs for your task.
