Product Description
The RGL Exit Push Plate EBPP02 is a push plate that sits on the wall beside a door. Pressing it operates a switch contact. It is an all-active 360° plate and is made for indoor use only.
What the specs mean in practice
- Double pole NO/NC contact. Two sets of contacts, with normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) connections. Choose whichever suits the circuit you are wiring.
- 4 amp at 30V AC/DC. This is the contact rating on alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). Whatever the plate switches must stay within 4 amps and 30 volts.
- More than 1 million operations. This is the number RGL designed the plate for.
- Surface or flush fitting. The screw footprint suits a standard back box, so it can sit on the wall or be recessed.
- Cable entry from the sides or rear. You can bring the cable in from the direction that suits your route.
What else you need
The plate is only the switch. It needs a door release, controller or similar equipment to switch, plus cable to connect them. Check that the equipment's ratings fall inside the 4 amp, 30V figure before you wire it.
Because this plate is for indoor use only, plan it for internal doors.
